Veranda Photoshoot

bDSC_0194The Cebolla Fine Flowers team had the privilege to work with Veranda in a styled home photo shoot. We were deeply honored to be selected provide the floral pieces.

One of our favorite ways to make arrangements is in custom containers that our clients bring to our shop from their homes. Wether it is your grandmothers soup tureen, or a elaborate vase, we can build an arrangement in just about anything.

The grounds were a perfectly selected place to photograph. Pairing eggplant with sumptuous ruffled flowers is a lovely juxtaposition in both color and design.

We thoroughly enjoyed spending a day with the Veranda team. Next time you order an arrangement, consider something you already have in your home to use as a container.

Setting the Scene

A SWEET SPOT TO START-20140424 192737-0020

From the epic backdrop in the latest blockbuster to the fireworks and audaciously lit stage at your favorite bands concert,  events become a place for us to get away from the mundane day to day settings, and embark us into a new place we have yet to explore. Thus design is an imperative aspect to any great event. The Cebolla Fine Flowers family takes great pride and care in each and every event we take part in. We greatly enjoy setting the scene for our clients weddings an events.  Not only do flowers appease and excite the senses, they also create a place that is uniquely yours.

I’m excited to share with you all a recap of our summer design class. We were honored to host Dallas blogging maven Bren, of Must Bring Buns. Bren shared both photos and instructions on her blog for how to create a signature Cebolla cube! Silly me was too swamped with our amazing guests to take photos, so thank you Bren for sharing yours with us! Check out Bren’s blog post here-

Designs for Dallas Garden Club Presentation

I had a wonderful time presenting a program to the Dallas Garden Club at the home of Mrs. Marilyn Weber. It was on Growing Vegetables and Herbs and how to use them, covering growing tips, recipes, making salves, pate, fermentation, pesto, herbal vinegars… I thought I had better bring something about flowers, so I made these arrangements with fruit and vegetables to bring. What lively discussion and such interest in the topic. Thank you ladies.

Miniature bananas, lemons, yellow cymbidiums, yellow garden roses and daffodils.

Coconut, red vine tomatoes, red radishes, small russet potatoes.

Tangerines, pink spray roses, dusty miller, orange habenero peppers.

Pears, plums, lilac, stock, woodland moss and roses.

White cauliflower and white onions nestled among red roses and white phalaenopsis.
